Favorite Christmas Music

My top Christmas songs. Sorry, no Mariah Carey.

20. Wizards in Winter - Trans-Siberian Orchestra

19. Carol of the Bells - Celtic Woman: Great instrumentals and vocals.

18. Mary Did You Know? - Pentatonix: Beautiful rendition of this song. Pentatonix can be a bit overbearing but they handled this song well.

17. White Christmas - Bob Marley and the Wailers: Strange song for a Jamaican Reggae band but this is a catchy version of it.

16. Winter Wonderland - Scott Weiland: The conflicted and talented Scott Weiland had a thing for Christmas music and he does an excellent job of crooning this classic.

15. Oh Holy Night - Josh Groban

14. Away in a Manger - Susan Boyle: Powerful.

13. Mary's Boy Child - Boney M: This is a Christmas song that just makes me feel good. I love the
praise and the simple gospel proclamation. The video's a little hard to watch.

12. Little Drummer Boy - Jars of Clay: I never cared much for this Christmas song until the Jars of Clay covered it.

11. O Come All Ye Faithful - Casting Crowns: I like the song. There might be a better cover out there but this one is good.

10. Celtic Woman - Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring: Wedding song or Christmas song?

9. Baby It's Cold Outside - Idina Menzel and Michael Buble: The creepy Christmas song.

8. Happy Christmas - John Lennon: A feel good song that anyone can listen to and like with a little anti-war message thrown in.

7. My Favorite Things - John Coltrane: Magical instrumental of Roger and Hammerstein's classic.

6. Hark the Herald Angels Sing - Jewel: Love the lyrics and again I'm partial because of the 90s singer.

5. What Child Is This - Carrie Underwood: Carrie doesn't overdo it. Greensleeves doesn't need to be dressed up.

4. Silent Night - Sinead O'Conner: Sung the way it ought to be.

3. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Bare-naked Ladies and Sarah Mclaughlin - I can't help but like this song. I'm a child of the 90s.

2. O Come O Come Emmanuel - Sufjan Stevens: An ancient song. Slow and haunting.

1. Christmas Cannon - Trans-Siberian Orchestra: Bach's classic turned into a Christmas carol.
